With over 20 years in human resource management and organizational behavior experience, HR Solutions Inc. Founder and President Carol K. Flynn is one of the nation’s foremost experts in the field of human resources. Throughout her career, she has worked in a wide range of industries, from manufacturing to media, healthcare to hospitality, banking to the federal government, and more. Whether she’s providing human resources support to a small, entrepreneurial start-up or a business at the top of the Fortune 500, Flynn remains focused on the task at hand: providing practical and sound advice to employers facing complex human resource issues.

As a master trainer with direct leadership experience, Flynn has developed innovative and inspiring management and supervisory training programs based on her unique method of competency analysis and training course mapping to core and preferred management competencies.

From resolving multifaceted employment issues to boosting employee morale, Flynn’s work has a significant positive impact on the businesses with which she works. In her work, Flynn identifies and improves employment practices to keep companies on the right side of the law — and on the plus side of their budgets. She investigates executive misconduct, employment-related discrimination, and sexual harassment charges, as well as aids employers in training their employees in essential business skills.

Additionally, Flynn holds 20+ years of experience in the following areas:

  • Designing or conducting anti-discrimination, retaliation and sexual harassment prevention training; at the federal, state and local levels
  • Responding to sexual harassment complaints or other discrimination complaints
  • Conducting investigations of sexual harassment complaints
  • Advising employers or employees regarding discrimination, retaliation and sexual harassment prevention including training on bystander intervention and unconscious bias

Flynn has also channeled her expertise into a series of professional development, management and leadership training programs that help leaders by tapping into the power of collaboration within a work group or project team. Business leaders come out of Flynn’s programs with collaborative tools and skills that empower them to inspire commitment and enthusiasm in their employees.

In addition to her role at HR Solutions, Inc., Flynn is involved in various professional and community organizations, and is a frequent lecturer. She is currently a Faculty Partner with the Office of Executive Education and Leadership at Florida International University. She trains tomorrow’s leaders as an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University, and demonstrates her commitment to human resources excellence by teaching Human Resource Management Professional Certification courses and workshops. She is a lifetime-certified senior professional in human resources (SPHR), certified in both behavioral interviewing and with the DiSC Personal Profile System.

Flynn also serves on The Florida Bar Eleventh Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee “P”. The grievance committee reviews complaints with much the same purpose as a grand jury, whether there is probable cause to believe a lawyer violated the professional conduct rules imposed by the Supreme Court of Florida and whether discipline against the lawyer appears to be warranted.Flynn has also served as the President of the Greater Miami Society for Human Resources Management, and on the HR Florida State Council as Legislative Affairs Chair.

Flynn’s career began with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with honors from Florida International University. She went on to receive her Master of Arts in Industrial and Organizational, also with honors, from the University of New Haven.
